How long do you have to bring a claim?

You have until you are 21 years of age or 3 years from the date of the accident or the date that you realise that you had been injured in an accident whichever is the later. If you think that your claim may be outside the 3 year period then the Court does have discretions in certain circumstances to allow a claim to proceed, so it is always worth contacting us. There are also complicated rules about when the 3 years starts to run so if you are in any doubt whatsoever then it will cost you nothing to contact us.
