How much do you get for your actual injury?

It depends upon:

1. The injury
2. The severity
3. How long it will take before you fully recover, if at all.    

We generally cannot answer these questions until we get a report from the medical expert and it is at that stage that we are then able to assess how much the claim is worth. There is a guidance booklet available to solicitors from The Judicial Studies Board Guidelines for the assessment of damage which gives an indication as to what the going rate is for virtually all injuries that one is likely to suffer. So we can give a broad outline at the beginning of the case as to the general level of compensation that you could expect but we cannot give a precise figure until we know from a qualified doctor what injury you have actually suffered.
